An Al-Qaeda website announced that Bin Laden will make another appearance, this time presenting the testament of one of the 911 hijackers.
The announcement came in a banner advertisement posted on an Islamic militant Web site where al-Qaida often releases messages and was signed by al-Sahab, the media arm of bin Laden’s al-Qaida terror network.
“Coming soon, God willing, the testament of the attacks on New York and Washington, Abu Musab Waleed al-Shehri, presented by Sheik Osama bin Laden, God preserve him,” the banner read. It showed an image of bin Laden wearing the same black beard and clothes as in the most recent video.
As soon Bin Laden released his latest video, everyone wanted to know the reaction of the Arab world. Well, let me tell you this: Bin Laden’s support eminates from the fact that the US wants his ass so much. Ask any Arab would you like Bin Laden to rule your country? And the answer will most probably be no. Ask him whether he wants the US to capture him or not. The answer will surely be no. No one wants the US to capture Bin Laden even though many disapprove his actions.
As far as I’m concerned, I’m sick and tired of the publicity and importance that this scumbag who is hiding in a cave is getting whether in the Arab world or the US itself. And this importance eminates from the sole fact that the USA wants him so badly. Every video he releases is a publicity victory for him and a defeat for the US.
Bin Laden is now nothing but someone hiding like a rat in some cave. He might be an inspiration to jihadists across the world but he is totally incapable of actually running things like he were doing when an entire country was under his command. In other words, he’s no longer as important as he wants the world to think he is.
I have an idea for America. An idea that was suggested by Tom Friedman. Change the reward. Change it from 50 million to 50 cents.
Yes, I think that is actually a good idea.
Money doesn’t seem to convince anybody to find him. If one million bucks doesn’t do it, no amount will (because obviously security is the concern, not finances).
But making Laden unimportant would help.
He is unimporant. Couldn’t even attack the US with his own creations, had to steal American aircraft to do it.

OK, suppose I’m an American and one of my relatives died in 9-11. How am I supposed to feel when I’m told that no Arab wants the guy who planned my son’s death to be caught? Is killing or capturing OBL somehow unjust?

I was reading the Egyptian Chronicles blog and she states that she thinks this videos are fake. That these tapes that miraculously appear on the anniversary of 9-11 are used for political purposes in the USA. From Egyptian Chronicles:
“Bin Laden Show
So Osama Bin Laden made presented his annual show for the 9/11 anniversary
I do not care what he said this time , I had enough to think about it , it is nothing
I believe now more than ever that these tapes and video clips appear in certain times only to serve Bush and his administration interests and to remind the Americans that there is still a bad enemy out there , the Democrats can not conquer but the republicans can !!
Nothing new in this year’s show except may be the call for the American people to convert , another nice way to make the Americans trust the Muslims by making there worst enemy call them to convert !!
Seriously more and more I began to believe that these videos are fake , already he seemed too young than the last time he appeared in it , I do not mean his dyed bread but I mean his face .”
Anything is possible. Heck a few months back the French reported he was dead. Dead or alive, he and his movement have replaced the Russian Bear that was once the evil communist that was to be fought at all costs.

Anonymous, where are you from? Surely not from any former or present reserve of the Russian bear. I am a Bulgarian and can testify that the bear was real.

Like Maya, I can attest to the Bear’s existence. I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia, and my family has very few pleasant memories of our life in the Soviet Union, mainly friends. The regime was not a pleasant experience.
